19th June 2025 - Clearing the Beer Garden

Just a quick look back at what we were facing ...
Didn't take a photo of the completed and cleared beer garden as I was to hot and exhausted

 

Will rectify that tomorrow

But we will be ready to open tomorrow - might even get the lawn cut in the morning

We shall see

 

Weather forecast looks to be hot and dry - though just seen a suggestion of Storms !
 Would be typical if we find that we are going to be wet at the start

But ready to raise money for Canolfan y Don - the Aberporth  Special Needs Unit at Aberporthy School

18th June 2025 - Clearing the Gardens again

Thought for the day :"The reason aliens don't visit us is because our solar system has received terrible reviews. We only have one star."

Dry and hot

Wednesday - so day with Chris and completely tired at the end of a day cutting box hedges, clearing the lower island and balsam from around the Yurt and general work in the heat .

But as we sit in the evening with a glass of wine - the sea mist came in and adds a touch of magic to the gardens 

But earlier we put up the banners on the road up to the tavern...

17th June 2025 - We have a Telegraph Pole

Got a telegraph Pole

Put the street lights down to the Bridge 

Sarn Helen Rose Croix this evening. It appears that the Nunc Dimitis is no longer usable as a closing hymn - Who Knew!

Very long meeting - but over 34 visitors and 50 dining - a possible record.

13th June 2025 - Rainy Day blues

A bit of a "Non" day today.

Popped out to get more bird food for the wild birds, suet bits, and fat balls and some layer pellets.

Dodged the rain in the morning  to walk Toby along our normal route, but took the opportunity of walking up to Wyn's Shepherd Hut while trying to give Ned and Ted enough time to get ahead of us so we would not have to separate the dogs - in fact Toby was very good and crouched when he say Ted and was happy to go onto the lead.

Too wet to do anything in the garden but a couple of pictures of Fabio because he is in fine fashion at the moment.
